What is Warehouse Club (WHC)?

WHC is a membership based warehouse retail club. Opened in December 2014, It is the first and only warehouse club in Singapore for groceries and household consumables. WHC members enjoy greater savings through bulks buys, value packs and exclusive access to direct import products.

Why WHC in Singapore?

The business model of WHC is a retail concept that is rampant overseas. There are similar warehouse club concepts in countries like the USA, Japan and Australia.

As a progressive retailer, FairPrice introduced WHC to pass on greater savings to shoppers.

By operating in a lower cost suburb area outside the city, WHC passes on savings to customers.

Where is WHC located?

WHC is located on Level 3 of new FairPrice Hub building. 1 Joo Koon Circle. FairPrice Hub is located next to Joo Koon MRT station and 5 minutes from SAF Discovery Centre.

What are the Normal Operating Hours?

Monday - Friday: 10am to 9pm

Saturday - Sunday: 9am to 9:30pm

Why did FairPrice introduce WHC

As a progressive retailer, FairPrice is constantly looking for ways to serve customers better, and provide better value. The WHC model has been adopted from the US and parts of Asia, and is a way for FairPrice to pass on greater savings to customers by offering items in bulk. This concept also suits consumers who need to purchase items in bulk, for corporate events or social functions.

How does WHC support FairPrice & NTUC Labour Movement in Singapore?

WHC is a wholly owned business under NTUC FairPrice.

As one of the leading NTUC Co-operative in Singapore, FairPrice's social mission is to moderate the cost of living in Singapore by providing quality products at best value, and excellent services.

We believe in staying relevant to the changing needs and as a progressive retailer, we strive to be the first mover to introduce new retail concepts to serve the varied needs of our customers.

With the introduction of WHC, we aim to excite our customers through imported products that are exclusive to WHC and most importantly, pass on greater savings to customers through bulks buy, value packs and multi packs.

How can I apply for WHC Membership?

Membership application and payment can be done at the WHC Membership Counter on Level 3.

A softcopy of the form may also be downloaded from our website www.warehouseclub.com.sg.
 

How much is the Membership Fee?

Membership price is $30 for 2 years (for NTUC Union members, FairPrice members & shareholders) and $50 for 2 years (Non-Union members) effective 5 Aug 2015.

Please pay at Warehouse Club Membership Counter at Level 3.

Can I receive my membership card on-the-spot?

New members may apply and pay for membership at the WHC Membership Counter at the Level 3 entrance. Membership cards will be issued on-the-spot, they can then be used to make purchases immediately.

Can I sign up for and/or own more than one Warehouse Club Membership Card?

Each person is only allowed to sign up for and own one Warehouse Club membership card. This card is non-transferable and its membership fee is non-refundable.

Can I share my WHC Membership Card with others?

WHC Membership Card is non-transferable. Members may bring along accompanying guests but the Member must be present at point of purchase to present the card to the cashier.

When do I have to present the membership card?

Membership card must be presented to the cashier at the point of purchase.

What should I do if I lost my card/there are changes in my personal details?

Should the card be lost, stolen or misplaced, or should there be any change in personal details, members are to notify Warehouse Club either in-store or online at feedback@warehouseclub.com.sg.

A replacement card will be issued at a nominal administration fee $5 inclusive of GST.

Can members make purchases with forms of identification other than the membership card?

Member is required to present his/her Membership Card to the cashier at the point of purchase, in order to make purchases. This will ensure that WHC serves and dedicates its exclusive products and savings to Members only.

For clarifications, Members may approach Customer Service Managers at the store for assistance.

If there is any change to my personal information, how should I update my data for my WHC Membership Card?

What does the signing up and/or renewal of membership constitute?

Please approach the WHC Membership Counter at Level 3 entrance for membership renewal, update and payment matters.

How do I cancel my WHC Membership?

Membership will expire in 2 years from date of issuance and the membership fee is non-refundable.

To cancel your membership, please email to feedback@warehouseclub.com.sg.

In the event of an early termination, WHC Membership expiry will be as of date of termination.

How do I renew my WHC Membership?

Renewal notice will be sent to WHC Members.

Please approach the WHC Membership Counter at Level 3 entrance to renew your membership.

Please bring NRIC and the existing membership card for renewal.

What is the use of providing my personal details?

By providing your personal details, you expressly give us your consent to contact you for promotional and marketing purposes arising from and connected with Warehouse Club. You may decide to opt out of this promotional and marketing information at anytime.

What are the Terms and Conditions for the membership?

The management reserves the right to amend T&Cs without prior written notice to you. For prevailing membership T&Cs, please refer to www.warehouseclub.com.sg.

What are the benefits when I sign up for Warehouse Club Card?

Save with low prices for great quality.
Gain access to popular overseas brands you cannot find in our normal supermarkets.

Receive exclusive savings and offers each month on merchandise throughout the club, including fresh produce, meats and groceries, as well as our own brands. 

How is the parking fee like at FP Hub?

Parking fees for 1st two and a half hour is $0.60 while the subsequent hour is $1.07. Same charges for weekday and weekends.

When does my WHC Membership expire?

Membership is valid for 2 years from date of issuance.

When will I be able to receive my WHC membership card after payment?

Members will receive their membership card on-the-spot and they can then proceed to make purchases within WHC immediately.

I have not received my WHC Membership Card.

It usually takes 2 to 3 weeks to process the application. Please let us know the mode and date of registration. We will get the WHC membership department to check and get back to you soon.

I have paid membership at the store but yet to recieve my card. Can I still shop at WHC?

Please produce the receipt for the payment of WHC membership fees to the Membership Counter of WHC to verify your membership status. A card would be issued to you upon verification and you can make immediate purchases at WHC.

Why do I have to be a member to shop at WHC?

Membership fees ($50 / public and $30 / Union members) help to ensure that the WHC concept is sustainable and that good value is offered. Members enjoy greater savings and discounts of up to 50% through bulk buys, value packs and they have access to brands sourced from around the world. The savings offered through WHC usually out values the membership fee. We thank the 30,000 over members who have supported us so far and recognise the good value that they stand to benefit from WHC.

The WHC format is not new, it is an established retail concept in the United States, as well as more affluent developed markets in the Asia Pacific region like Japan and Australia.

Can members of the public enter WHC?

Anyone can enter WHC, including non-members. However, to be eligible for purchases at WHC, the membership card must be presented to the cashier at point of purchase.

Members may bring along accompanying guests but the member must be present at point of purchase to present the card to the cashier.

What other exclusive brands can we expect from WHC? Will you be introducing these brands to FairPrice outlets?

WHC seeks to offer the best value-for-money options for members and by bringing in new exclusive brands from all around the world. For now, we offer Kirkland signature products, which is a range that offers quality products at a good value, cost savings. We will also be looking to bring popular housebrands from major supermarkets around the world.

What are some of the popular Kirkland Signature items?

We have only just started selling Kirkland Signature products today but from what we understand, there are several items that are popular in other markets. These include cashew and almond nuts, chocolates and snacks, packaged processed fruits such as dried blueberries, condiments and seasoning like mayonnaise, tomato paste, organic chicken stock, assorted drinks and juices are popular among consumers.

What are the payment methods at Warehouse Club?

FairPrice looks to offer convenience to customers, and WHC is not excluded. It accepts payment from Visa, MasterCard, Diners, Amex and JCB credit cards, as well as in the form of NETS and cash payments.

Are WHC goods returnable or refundable?

For wrong products purchased, they can be returned for exchange or refund, provided they are returned in a re-saleable condition within 7 days of purchase with an original receipt. Refund will be provided through the same method of payment.

Please note that we are unable to provide refund or exchange for all food items, toiletries, cosmetics, earrings, opened bedding and opened technology items. Undergarments are also non-refundable and non-exchangeable due to hygiene issues.

For products under warranty, please approach the local authorised service centre for assistance.

Does WHC provide delivery?

Free delivery is available for a minimum purchase of $500. $30 delivery fee applies for purchases below $500. Delivery is available for all items including electronics and groceries, and excludes fresh, chilled and frozen items.

WHC does not deliver to outlying islands and restricted areas. Check in-store for more details.

Are customers able to order WHC items online?

The WHC retail format does not have an online service at the moment. However, FairPrice seeks to provide convenience and adapt to customers’ lifestyles and will constantly look at innovative methods to serve customers better.

Do purchases at WHC enjoy the same discounts as FairPrice stores such as FairPrice reward schemes and seniors/pioneer generation discounts?

WHC is a different retail format from the typical FairPrice supermarkets. As products are already very much discounted for WHC members as compared to FairPrice supermarkets, all WHC purchases are not entitled to the usual reward schemes and discounts such as BYOB discounts, Just Wine Club discounts, Seniors and Pioneer Generation Discounts. However, LinkPoints and 4% rebates are now available when you purchase at WHC.

Can I use my LinkPoints for redemptions?

Yes, with effect from 5 Aug 2015, Plus! cardmembers can earn LinkPoints with minimum purchase of $20. LinkPoints can be redeemed for purchases excluding membership fees.

Is Just Wine Club (JWC) Card Accepted?

No, JWC card can only be used at FairPrice supermarkets.

How different is WHC from FairPrice supermarkets?

WHC is a different retail format, it is a warehouse retail store that offers savings through bulk buys, value packs and exclusive brands not available at FairPrice supermarkets.

Will the offerings at WHC be cheaper compared to Fairprice supermarkets?

Warehouse Club boasts a unique retail format – a mega retail store in a warehouse, which follows similar WHC formats that currently operate in the US and part of Asia, where the store is only open to members. Warehouse Club offers savings through bulk buys, value packs and exclusive brands like Costco Kirkland. As such, its offerings are different from the usual FairPrice supermarkets. The goods offered here are bulk packed food essentials and groceries, such as fresh meat & seafood, fruits as well as rice, oil, milk powder, fruit juices. At WHC, the range of meat, seafood, fruits and vegetable offered comes in bigger than usual packages available in FairPrice supermarkets.

Members can also buy household consumables in bulk and enjoy great savings from 10% to 20%. In addition, members will also be able to enjoy special products that are discounted up to 30% to 50%, which are placed at various parts of the store.
